- Before leaving on your trip make sure you have a recent photo of your pets on your phone or in your car in case your pet goes missing.
- Make sure the pet is wearing a proper collar or ID tag
- Never leave your pet alone in the car. Temperatures can reach 120 degrees within minutes even in the shade.
- Always have plenty of water available for your pet to drink.
- Make frequent stops for walks and restroom breaks.
- Keep your pet restrained. Don't let an unrestrained pet become a driving distraction. It could be deadly.
